Tips to making the world better Don't be an obnoxious winner.

I"m pretty sure this goes against the norm for most Americans and many of the building blocks of our nations history. Not only is this a unpopular belief, it could be said its an "Un-American' Belief" We have holidays, songs, mantras, awards, and a President that had a catch phrase of "you're fired" at one time. So yes in our society today we label things as winners and looser. Our Cultures almost Demands that we gloat for the victors and praise the demise of our enemies. It is said that the Winners write the history. or as Ricky Bobby (character from Talageda Nights Movie) said it "if you're not 1st you are last".

I was thinking of this today after reading the news responses to a US special forces attack in Syria which led to the Murder/suicide of ISIS leader Al-Bagdadi (declared enemy of the state)

and 3 children. ( murdered by Al Bagdadi)

Am I glad that people under IS control might have a better chance of being Free? Yes. Was Al-Bagdadi a terrible evil wicked human being? yes. DO I praise his death?. No. Even in death I believe the redeeming nature of God is for all. IF God is love, than shouldn't God love all, even in death? Even evil wicked people? I think so..

To take it to the home. When your favorite team wins, what do you say about the looser. Do you gloat , and do your happy dance, and taunt your family who was rooting against you? I wouldn't say winning is bad, but it can be toxic if you don't handle winning correctly.

Living a spirit filled life requires a different lens to look through. I wish I was better at that. I'm not I promise you. Sometimes I feel Like i try to change my thinking to Christ like so much, because I know what I think about when it isn't Jesus focused. MY nature is sinful I haw no doubt about that. I have many times Cheered when somebody else has lost. But when Christ is in us, we will be transformed by the renewing of our mind (Romans 12:12) and even pray for or enemies (Mathew 5:44) . and Not gloat at their defeat. (Proverbs 24:17) is it easy? NO. is it a better way to live? Yes, I pray that you spread peace in all things
